School House Square

School House Square is the adaptive reuse and addition to the landmark
“School House” building located in the historic Mission San Jose neighborhood of Fremont. The project consists of saving the historic and significant features of the 10,000 sf building, removing the non-historic boiler room addition and adding 2,000 sf of new construction that is in harmony with the existing structure. The resulting 11 live/work units each
have soaring 2 story entry spaces with loft spaces overlooking them. Each unit has its own exterior entry. Natural lighting is dispersed throughout.
