Villa Vasconcellos Senior Housing. Walnut Creek, CA

Villa Vasconcellos is a 2- and 3-story 70-unit senior housing project located in Walnut Creek, CA.  It will be one of the first multi-family housing projects in the city that utilizes green design principles.  Solar hot water heating and photovoltaic panels will utilize renewable energy sources to offset both the common house meter electricity consumption as well as the domestic hot water heating.  The materials are primarily cement plaster and horizontal lap board siding. 

Amenities include private decks and patios, 100% accessible or adaptable units, 2 internalized common courtyards, a shared community room, and naturally lit corridors that widen near circulation elements for social use.
