Sacramento Capitol Area Plan The Capitol Area Residential, Commercial Study evaluated 19 sites for mixed use and housing opportunities. The study evaluated land use and urban design patterns of prospective residential development sites. The study developed appropriate densities and building prototypes and designated specific parcels for convenience retail and commercial businesses to serve the office users and residents of State Capitol. The study received an honor award for excellence in planning from the California Chapter of the American Planning Association. VMWP was the urban design consultant. |
