Vance Street Promenade

Vance Street Promenade is a 30 acre redevelopment of a failed big box site. The site is bordered by two high volumestate highways and a single family neighborhood on Lakewood's main commercial street. The site is also bisected by a urban drainage creek and is within a 5 minute walk of a proposed light rail commuter line. The urban design is organized as a traditional main street that’s emphasizes pedestrian movement with shops oriented closely to the street. Program for the site calls for: 269,000 sq. ft. of retail including a 57,000 sq. ft. grocery; a 53,000 sq. ft. 16 screen theatre; 23,000 sq. ft. of office space; 138 residential units in an apartment block and a townhouse block.
