This zoing ordinance update is currently being developed for commercial and multifamily districts throughout Palo Alto. The objective is to incorporate innovative zoning techniques and a "form-based" design-oriented approach through the development of building and site planning design prototypes.

City of Mountain View Design Guidelines/Plan Update, Mountain View, CA

VMWP is developing zoning standards and design guidelines for rowhouse development in the City of Mountain View.The purpose of the Rowhouse Guidelines is to provide direction on how new rowhouse development should be designed to create desireable residential developments and ensure a seamless integration with existing neighborhoods.

South El Camino Real Design Guidelines, Palo Alto, CA

These guidelines were developed for a commercial stretch of El Camino Real in Palo Alto. The guidelines will be used to strengthen the pedestrian environment of the entire street as well as focus attention on key pedestrian nodes.

Belmar Residential Design Guidelines, Lakewood, CO

These guidelines include detailed design standards, building prototypes, and urban design concepts for a variety of neighborhoods and building types, including apartments over storefronts, townhouses, live-work space, small garden court buildings, mid-rise multifamily buildings, and senior housing.
