The Sand Creek Master Plan encompassing 300 acres
for a new mixed use
neighborhood at the gateway to the city. The plan calls for medium
density
homes focusing on parks, integrated with retail shops, churches
and daycare centers, all connected by tree-lined streets. A community
park which is connected with the Sand Creek open space system, schools,
downtown, and the greater community is planned. The phased development
will have guidelines which minimize the impact of the garage on
the streetscape, with porches and entryways, and insure quality
building design.
