Downtown Foster City is a mixed-use development on 15 acres situated between the North Penisula Jewish Campus and Foster City’s civic center and library. The development proposal includes a town square, three-day-a-week farmers market, a 14-screen cinema, a small high school, 80,000 sq. ft. of retail, and 355 units of senior housing.

Fannin Station TOD, Houston, TX
The vision for the Fannin Station TOD is one of reconnecting a disconnected series of properties into the redevelopment of a mixed-use, transit-oriented district, made up of a variety of neighborhoods centered around pedestrian-oriented places. The intent is to capitalize on this excellent transit amenity and public and private investment to create synergistic urban land uses for pedestrian and transit oriented activities. |

EPA SMART Growth Charrettes
VMWP is the urban design and architect component of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Smart Growth Technical Assistance Program Team. The EPA Technical Assistance Program provides grants in the form of technical assistance from economic urban design and traffic and circulation specialists to communities faced with growth issues in need to be addressed. The team specifically addresses issues of market positioning and economic development, urban design visioning and plans, pedestrian, bike, auto and transit circulation and parking, and regulations and design guidelines for each specific community. |
