As a 2017 B. Arch graduate, James has enjoyed researching Industrial buildings across America and The Age of “Man and The Machine” as part of his thesis. Learning from his thesis research he has learned there are various technological and unconventional methods to any design approach supporting the belief that architecture is the interplay between life and form.

His passion in architecture is adaptive re-use. Respecting the original characteristics and values of a building while implementing a new program to support a surrounding community are challenges that he gladly accepts as a designer. His objective as a designer is for the well-being of an occupant by including a pragmatic yet sustainable approach to design, abiding by various project-specific constraints, and implementing innovative technology to create project solutions.
