Exciting Progress on Block 56: 50% Completion Milestone Reached

SFHDC, in collaboration with Mercy Housing, OCII, Nibbi Brothers General Contractors, Kerman Morris Architects LLP, and Van Meter Williams Pollack, is thrilled to announce that our Block 56 Affordable Housing project in Hunters Point has reached the 50% completion milestone. This significant development will provide 73 affordable housing units, predominantly consisting of 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments designed to cater to households earning between 35% and 50% of the San Francisco Average Median Income (AMI).

Nestled in a scenic location with views of the bay, Block 56 not only offers a sustainable living environment with its pursuit of LEED Platinum Certification and solar-ready features but also includes a variety of communal amenities designed to enhance resident interaction and well-being. These include a central courtyard with a multipurpose area, barbecue facilities, raised planter beds, a community room with southeast views, and a family child care unit. Additionally, the development includes a teen center/flexible space, ample bike storage, a fitness room, and garage parking.
