We are deeply honored that Longmont Housing Authority‘s, Ascent at Hover Crossing has received the prestigious 2026 Eagle Award from Housing Colorado. Developed by Pennrose, this accolade represents the pinnacle of achievement for affordable housing in the region, validating our belief that thoughtful design can elevate entire communities.
Located in a high-opportunity neighborhood in Longmont, Colorado, this seventy-five unit development serves families earning between thirty and eighty percent of the area median income and stands as a model for holistic urban planning. It provides a variety of housing types including 3 and 4 bedroom units, which are much needed by families in the community, as well as an integrated five thousand square foot Early Childhood Education Center. By placing vital childcare services directly at the doorstep of working families, the design has the potential to remove systemic transportation barriers and creates a nurturing environment where children and parents thrive together.
True community resilience also demands environmental stewardship. Ascent at Hover Crossing is a fully electric, transit-oriented development supported by a two hundred and eleven kilowatt solar array that reduces utility burdens for residents. Combined with vibrant shared spaces including a fitness center, a community room, and outdoor play areas, the architecture blends sustainability with dignity. This award reinforces our enduring commitment to pioneering housing solutions that champion education, equity, and a green future.
