Ascent at Hover Crossing is a new 75-unit affordable housing community under construction in Longmont.
The first waitlist for a new 75-unit affordable housing community under construction in Longmont will open Sept. 8. The community will have one, two, three and four bedroom apartments for families earning up to 80% of Area Median Income (ex. a family of four can make no more than $120,480).
Ascent at Hover Crossing, at 2225 18th Ave., is being developed through a partnership between the Longmont Housing Authority and Pennrose for households earning up to 80% of the area median income, according to a news release.
Applications to live at Ascent will be managed through two waitlists — one for 18 project-based voucher homes and one for low-income housing tax credit homes. The first-come, first-served online waitlist for project-based vouchers will open on Sept. 8th and is expected to fill up immediately. Project-based vouchers allow extremely low-income residents to pay 30% of their income as rent.
A second waitlist for the affordable units will open Sept. 15. Longmont Housing Authority currently has an existing multifamily project-based voucher waitlist for Aspen Meadows Neighborhood and will be adding Ascent to that waitlist process.
For the LIHTC homes at Ascent, LHA maintains a separate waitlist for each property. Prospective applicants can sign up for email updates on the application process at mailchi.mp/0439434be8c0/ascent-interest.
Those interested are encouraged to apply to both waitlists.
