Andrew Faulkner

Andrew has contributed design and project management experience across urban design and architecture projects at VMWP for over half a decade. He has contributed subject matter expertise to the Balboa Reservoir Development Standards and Guidelines and oversaw the construction of Hana Gardens senior housing for Eden Housing, which was recently honored with the 2019 California Governor’s Historic Preservation Award. Andrew is currently working with the cities of Pleasanton, CA and Wayzata, MN to develop design standards for new development.

In addition to his work at VMWP, Andrew has advocated for environmental justice and the removal of urban freeways through leadership of the City To River and ConnectOakland advocacy groups and was an adjunct professor in architecture and urban design at Washington University in St. Louis. He enjoys bicycling, backpacking, and woodworking and has been known to sew his own outdoor gear and create toys for his nephews and nieces.
