A new residential project has been proposed for development at 625 Randolph Street in Napa. The project proposal includes the development of workforce housing for Napa’s First United Methodist Church, along with onsite parking, indoor gathering space, and outdoor play areas.
Burbank Housing Development Corporation is the project developer. Van Meter Williams Pollack LLP is responsible for the designs.

VMWP’s website reports that about 100 people attended an open house November 13 to learn about the new housing. The proposal is to create 46 apartments located at church property on the corner of Randolph and Fourth streets. The units will be spread across a four-story building, as a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments.
Plans also call for bike parking and 48 vehicle parking spaces in a garage. An indoor community space spanning 6,000 square feet will be shared with the church to support congregation activities and address community needs, potentially including child care.
The new housing is a joint project between the church, Napa Valley Community Housing and Burbank Housing. The historic church sanctuary building will not be redeveloped.
The project may also include rebuilding the so-called Triangle Park at the corner of Division and Franklin streets, Williams said. That is under consideration. The developer is still planning the preliminary stages of the project. The team intends to start construction on the project at the end of 2025, and complete it about a year later.
