Burbank Housing, alongside the City of Healdsburg, Sonoma County, and California Housing & Community Development (HCD), has broken ground on Dry Creek Commons at 155 Dry Creek Road in Healdsburg. The development will deliver 58 affordable homes for families, farmworkers, and individuals facing homelessness.

Dry Creek Commons will be a 58-unit affordable housing property including 28 one-bedroom, 15 two-bedroom, and 15 three-bedroom family, farmworker and permanent supportive housing apartments. The community will be dedicated to households earning less than 60% of the area’s median income (AMI). Reach for Home will partner with Burbank Housing to deliver supportive services for residents in permanent supportive housing.
“The demand for affordable housing that truly serves every demographic is not just growing—it’s critical,” said Larry Florin, CEO of Burbank Housing. “Dry Creek Commons represents more than construction; it’s a commitment to equity and stability for families, farmworkers, and individuals in need. This project will stand as a cornerstone for inclusive housing in Healdsburg, ensuring that no one is left behind.”
The property will receive 14 Project-Based Vouchers from Sonoma County Housing Authority and will receive additional funding from: HCD’s Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR), Multi-Family Housing Program, HCD’s Joe Serna, Jr. Farmworker Housing Grant Program, City of Healdsburg, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds through the Sonoma County Community Development Commission and a 4% bond allocation awarded by the California Debt Limit Allocation Committee (CDLAC).
Healdsburg Mayor, Evelyn Mitchell, shared excitement over the new addition to the community. “We believe Healdsburg is strongest when people of all incomes can live here with dignity and opportunity. Dry Creek Commons advances that vision by creating homes to serve working families, farmworkers, and longtime residents who are essential to the fabric of our city. The City of Healdsburg is proud to have partnered with Burbank Housing to complete such an amazing development for our community.”
Construction for Dry Creek Commons is planned for completion in Spring 2027 with occupancy shortly following.

More About 155 Dry Creek Project

Dry Creek Commons at 155 Dry Creek Road is a four story development that makes improvements to the Foss Creek and wetlands environment and provides 58 quality affordable family rental apartments for the community on 3.53 acres, completing a key gateway property along the Dry Creek Entry Corridor.
The site design embraces Foss Creek by expanding the wetland and riparian environment and providing children and families with strong visual connections to the wetlands and creek. A series of stormwater management elements and newly created wetlands will filter and cleanse stormwater runoff, offer flood protection, and preserve and enhance important wetland habitat and riparian corridor. The Two buildings frame both the Dry Creek Road frontage and the wetlands and open space along Foss Creek.
The rural affordable housing project design strikes a balance between the more urban character of Dry Creek Road, the immediate surroundings that are more commercial/industrial in nature and the residential nature of the greater community.
