Cris is from Sao Paulo, Brazil and her interest in architecture began at an early age through her father’s real state endeavors in the very dense metropolis. Currently, members of her family are engaged in the use of recycled wood and metals in new construction in the Brazilian countryside. She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 2009 and also attended architecture school in Florianopolis, Brazil and a Summer quarter in Athens, Greece. She has worked in Orange County, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Berkeley. Prior to joining VMWP, Cris had been working on Berkeley bungalows and San Francisco Victorians’ remodels and additions. She has a son who is a graphic designer in San Francisco with whom she trades creative experiences, hiking and cooking. She spends much of her free time traveling with her partner, researching, volunteering, and visiting with friends and family.
